Welcome to a New School Year!
June 27, 2008
Welcome to your fourth grade year. I look forward to a year of fun and learning with you. You will use your blog daily to reflect on learning and share ideas with your classmates and the world. There are a few rules for how we use blogs in the classroom.
1. Do not use full names – your own or your classmates. Other people can view our blog, so we need to be very careful.
2. Be respectful. Being professional and courteous while using computers is an important skill in today’s world. You may disagree with someone, but please be nice when you do.
3. Participate! Actively responding and using the blog is required.
To begin the year, talk at your table about something surprising that happened to you this summer. Decide as a group whose experience is the most interesting and record it by making a comment. Tomorrow morning, when you come into the classroom, go back and read what each table responded and make a comment about one that stands out.
